[ARCHIVED] Special Program: Transit of Venus

SPECIAL PROGRAM! VIEW THE TRANSIT OF VENUS!
Join us on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, for a special event hosted by the Rockwall County Library and Rockwall’s Max Corneau. On that day the planet Venus will pass in front of the sun for the last time in our lives. Called the Transit of Venus, this astronomical event will not happen again for 122 years! Using two different solar telescopes, you will see the sun as Venus transverses it, weather permitting. Mr. Corneau will guide viewing this fantastic event from 5:00 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. Max Corneau is a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador.
