How To Apply
Rockwall County only accepts applications when a position is open. To apply for a position with the County, you may print the appropriate application from the links below. A separate application must be submitted for each position.

Non-Law Enforcement applications are also available at the Rockwall County Human Resources Department. The Non-Law Enforcement application must be filled out completely,signed, and received by the Human Resources Department by the closing date of the job posting.

Sheriff's Department and Detention Division Applications may be downloaded below or picked up at the Sheriff's Office, which is located at:

All Law Enforcement applications must be submitted to the Sheriff's Office.

Internal Job Postings are positions posted ‘For Current Rockwall County employees only’. Generally, employees will be expected to have completed 6 months of satisfactory performance in their current position before being considered for another position. Interested employees must complete the Application for Promotion/Transfer form (APT) and submit it to Human Resources prior to the deadline. The APT form is available below under Application Forms.
